Do you ever have one of those moments where you feel like you're in an episode of the Twilight Zone? It's 4:21 AM and I''ve spent the night in Love Field Airport. We finished our show at Lone Star Park and rolled out a few hours ago, my bus was rolling to Oklahoma and I figured it would be easier to just sleep in terminal. I was wrong. I'm on an uncomfortable chair with no way to fall asleep and I have Kenny G blaring over the loud speaker. About 10 minutes ago two drunk chicks came in and just unpacked a bottle of champagne. Apparently they're on their way to Jazzfest in New Orleans. They're starting a little early. TSA just came by and made them get rid of their open container, so they did so by pounding the bottle. Thank Christ they're not going to be on my flight. Two more hours to take off, I'm just ready for them to open up the freaking gates so I can lay on carpet.
Gig tonight wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. If you haven't spent the day in a suite at Lone Star Park you haven't lived. It's nice to be waited on hand and foot. I didn't lose any money on the ponies...probably because I didn't bet.
I think the two girls are getting thrown out of the airport now. This is pretty funny.
